Cultural Competence

Cultural Competence was a training created as part of a larger project at Atlanta History Center to address our employees’ approach to discussing complicated subject matter with the public. Iterations of this project included an Alpha and Beta provided by a consultant for management in Guest Experience. I then took over the project for Cultural Competence 2.0 to train Guest Experience Ambassadors in the Battle of Atlanta Cyclorama exhibit. Cultural Competence 3.0 was the final step. This training was brought to all staff who would interact with the public, crossing multiple departments including Historic Houses and Gardens.
